messami

Concept for a new type of Online Trade Fair

MAR – JUL 2020

STUDENT PROJECT – Interface/Website Design

Supervised by Prof. Indra Kupferschmid

The new type of online trade fair, which I named “messami,” was developed in the project "What can be removed, what needs to be different?" The project focused on redesigning something existing or completely replacing old methods with something new that is more efficient, sustainable, or otherwise advantageous.

I explored trade fairs and how to digitize a trade fair visit as effectively as possible. As a result, I created website interface concepts for activities that visitors would expect at a physical trade fair.

The main features included:

  • Browsing and discovering new booths

  • Live events with chat functionality

  • Video archive of conference presentations

  • Question and answer platform

  • Live meetings in video chat for interviews

  • Integrated shop for each booth

For the final presentation of the project, a deliberately somewhat absurd promotional video was created to advertise the fictional trade fair website builder “messami”.
